Change FOV on FiveM

GTA V's default field of view is narrow and can feel cramped, especially on multi-monitor setups or immersive RP. Here's how to widen it with Flawless Widescreen.

Requirements

FiveM installed
Flawless Widescreen (free)
GTA V launched at least once

Setup Steps

1

Download Flawless Widescreen

Go to the official Flawless Widescreen website and download the GTA V compatible version. It's an external tool, independent from FiveM, that adjusts camera rendering in real time.

2

Launch GTA V, then Flawless Widescreen

Start FiveM first and join a server, then launch Flawless Widescreen alongside it. The tool automatically detects the running game process.

3

Select the GTA V profile

In Flawless Widescreen, choose the "Grand Theft Auto V" profile from the detected games list. The FOV module appears in the configuration panel on the right.

4

Adjust the field of view

Use the FOV slider to increase the value gradually. A value between 90 and 100 works for most setups without excessive edge distortion.

5

Check in game

Switch back to FiveM: the change applies instantly, no restart needed. Fine-tune the slider again if needed, the effect is visible in real time.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
—

Don't launch Flawless Widescreen before GTA V — the tool needs to detect an already running process

—

Avoid an FOV above 100-110: noticeable distortion on screen edges

—

This method is purely visual on the client side, no ban risk on RP servers

—

If the GTA V profile doesn't appear, relaunch Flawless Widescreen after the game has fully loaded
