Install a Sound Pack on FiveM

Hiromasa sound packs replace GTA V's default weapon sounds. Installed via OpenIV, purely client-side — no ban risk on RP servers.

Requirements

GTA V installed (Steam, Epic or Rockstar version)
OpenIV installed and set to edit mode
A Hiromasa sound pack downloaded (.zip or .rar)

Installation Steps

1

Download the sound pack

Join our Discord and head to the sound pack channel. Download the archive for the version you want (US V1 to V19) and extract it to an accessible folder.

2

Open OpenIV in edit mode

Launch OpenIV, select GTA V as the target game, then enable edit mode (the "Edit mode" button at the top of the window). A warning window appears: that's normal, confirm it.

3

Locate the audio folder

In the OpenIV tree, navigate to the weapon audio folder listed in the downloaded pack's README. Each sound pack version targets a specific path matching the original files to replace.

4

Replace the audio files

Drag and drop the extracted sound pack files into the matching folder, overwriting the original files. OpenIV automatically backs up the replaced files.

5

Launch FiveM and test in game

Close OpenIV, launch FiveM and join a server. Equip a weapon and fire to check the new sound applies. If nothing changed, double-check the exact path given in the pack's README.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
—

Always enable edit mode in OpenIV before replacing a file

—

Follow the exact path given in the pack's README, specific to each version

—

Purely client-side modification: no protected server-side RPF file is touched, no ban risk

—

Don't mix two different sound packs on the same files without reverting to originals first
